How I price a job

Photos for small jobs, a visit for big ones, and a written quote before anything starts.

Small jobs

A socket, a light, a fault. Send photos on WhatsApp, including one of the fuse board, and I can usually price it the same day without a visit.

Bigger jobs

A consumer unit, a rewire, a kitchen, a garden. I visit, test where it matters, and send a written quote that says what is included, what is not, and what would change the price.

Why prices start "from"

Because the final price depends on the property: how many circuits, where the cable runs, and what is found when the old installation is opened up. The from-price is the floor, not a hook.

Paying

A materials deposit before work starts. Short jobs are invoiced at the end. Longer jobs after first fix and after second fix. The invoice matches the quote, and if anything changes mid-job I explain why and agree it with you first.

Two ways to start

On a job? WhatsApp me and I'll reply the same day.

Small job? Send a photo.

Extra sockets, lights, faults that keep tripping. Send a few photos on WhatsApp and I can often price it the same day.

Bigger job? Get a quote.

Consumer units, rewires, kitchens, extensions and garden lighting. I visit, look at the installation properly, and send a written quote.
