What things cost, and how I price them.
Almost no electrician round here publishes a price. These are mine, and everything else gets a written quote before any work starts.

Removing the old fuse board, fitting a new consumer unit, and testing every circuit. Exact inclusions are set out in your written quote.

One new double socket on an existing circuit. The price depends on the route the cable takes.

After a visit, or from photos for small jobs.
A materials deposit before work starts. Payment by bank transfer. Short jobs are invoiced at the end; longer jobs such as rewires after first fix and after second fix.

How much does an EICR cost?
From £150 for inspection and testing of every circuit, with a written report. Larger properties are priced once I know the number of circuits.

Why do prices start "from"?
Because the final price depends on the property: how many circuits, where the cable runs, and what is found when the old installation is opened up. You always get the price in writing before work starts.
Do you charge for quotes?
No. Quotes from photos and quote visits are free.
